Liquid mutual funds are those fund which  invest your money in very short-term market instruments such as treasury bills, government securities and call money that hold least amount of risk with 91 days maturity because in these fund you can invest any time and withdraw any time. There is no exit load in it. Assets invested are not tied up for long times as liquid funds do not have lock-in period.
